Stuffed Shells
Ingredients
- 1 box of Jumbo Shell pasta- 1 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Pasta Sauce
- 1 jar of pasta sauce (any brand)- 1/2 teaspoon red crushed pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Salt, to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon dried chopped onions
- 1-2 cloves garlic, minced
Ricotta Filling
- 1 15 oz. ricotta cheese- 2 cups spinach, finely chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon red crushed pepper
- Salt, to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Boil and cook the jumbo shells according to the box instructions. Make sure you add a pinch of salt and a bit of oil to the water when boiling. Drain and set aside.
- Make the ricotta filling by mixing together all the ingredients required.
- Season and heat up the pasta sauce.
- Take each cooked shell and fill generously with the ricotta filling.
- In a glass tray, lay down a thin layer of pasta sauce and organize the shells into rows.
- Pour the sauce over each individual shell and top with a handful of mozzarella cheese.
- Place the tray into the oven and cook until the cheese is melted and the sauce is bubbling (about 15-20 minutes). Overcooking may result in dry shells.
- Serve hot with garlic bread and/or Italian salad!
